I cut her hair. She looked younger. Para na ako yung Ate! Carmen prepared misua and she loved it! Didn't really cared for tapioca pudding. Carmen and Sharon were with me. We had a nice visit. She sang do-re-mi to us. She spoke to an old high school friend Chona. The smile on her face was priceless...

It was a fun day. Sharon, Keith, Karina and I visited Anicia. Of course, Rodge joined us as well. I think Mark, Megan and Kailani followed towards the evening. I brought her a jumbo deck of cards from Las Vegas. We played recognizing the numbers. It was fun. We practiced counting.

She finished her meal fast. She sure didn't loose her appetite, making up for the time she was not able to eat!

Doctor's visit was fine. Doctor's were very happy with her progress. Bone flap will be put back in about 3 months.

I called Mike our cousin to talk to Anicia. The laughter was priceless! Mike and family will come in the summer to visit Anicia. She also enjoyed Cheetos...

Happy Birthday Anicia! It was a great day. Mom, Sharon, Buds, Connie, Gerrieca, Mark,Megan, Josh and Sasha visited Anicia and brought cake, balloons and pancit (noodles). When they were approaching her room, a lot of the residents followed them and sang happy birthday to her. It shook the nursing home! She ate some noodles and cake. She sat for 45 minutes on her own, stood up for about 2 minutes without help. She played with the little ones.

It is really a joy to be with Ate. I arrived with Mom and she gave us a big smile, hug and a kiss. She was going to tell us something, but she was not able to say it just yet.

I asked her what my name was and she knew Jim-vi. She had to fool around of course and I 'd say, Jim and she'd say vi for about 4 times then she giggled. She finally said, JIMvi! She enjoyed the arroz caldo I brought, she finished the whole thing. She ate all her dinner except for the veges.

I told her I was going to Las Vegas to watch Jojo test for this 4th dan bb. She said,"wow" with a big smile. I wonder though if the wow was for the Las Vegas trip or the testing!

Anicia is definitely improving. She can say almost all our names already. She continues to learn to talk and eat at least 80% of what is asked of her to eat. Sometimes, she makes faces but she still tries to finish her food as much as she can. Really determined to get the feeding tube off!

She had a manicure and pedicure done... care of Buds... Soon, we will have her hair cut...

She is improving everyday. Thank you so mcuh for all your prayers... Please keep on praying, it is working!!!

Really exciting news. Therapist says Anicia is counting 1 - 100, we heard her say 1 - 40. She says the alphabets, months of the year and days in a week. She has been eating bowl foods and sitting about 30 minutes on her own. Karina was really thrilled, she sang Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star to Auntie Anicia then they did a duet the second time around!
